I hesitated to spend $40 on such a little lamp that we’re only using as a nightlight in our three little girls’ room; however, in retrospect, I think it was money well spent. The girls love it, and it seems well made with nice, brightly-painted wooden cutouts of monkeys and leaves. I call my girls my “three little monkeys,” so this lamp, with its three monkeys, just seemed like the right lamp to get. The included flourescent bulb is approximately equivalent to a 60-watt bulb, so if you’re planning to use it as a night light, you’ll need to buy a dimmer bulb as we did. The included bulb lights up their 10′ x 10′ room almost as brightly as the overhead light, but a 20-watt-equivalent bulb makes this perfect for a reading lamp and night light.
